A powerful and thought-provoking poem. Its simplicity makes the message even stronger. The contrast between “sleeping pills” and “talking” beautifully suggests that facing our problems through honest conversation can sometimes be more meaningful than trying to escape them.
I was especially struck by the lines about not blaming other people or countries. They invite us to look inward, accept responsibility, and confront the difficult realities of life with courage.
