What a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to a place that has clearly become much more than a location—it has become a part of the poet’s life and healing. ❤️
I especially loved the way the poem connects health, happiness, words, people, family, and love. The repeated references to “this place” and “its people” create a wonderful feeling of gratitude and belonging. It is as though Villanueva has embraced the poet and, in return, received his heart.
